SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
As a major port of the Russian Far East and the whole Russia, Nakhodka Marine Trade Port is committed to drive the social and economic development of local communities.
The port is a reliable social partner of regional and local authorities and a major taxpayer. It pays 1.5 billion of taxes to various budgets every year.
Nakhodka Marine Trade Port is also a major regional employer. The port currently has approximately 1300 employees, and together with service facilities supports 5 thousand jobs.
As a responsible business, we actively contribute to the development of municipal infrastructure in Nakhodka. Every year, we donate significant funds to school maintenance and work on volunteer cleaning and landscaping events.
Our main social programs focus on the development of the Astafiev community in Nakhodka where most of our employees reside with their families.
Nakhodka Marine Trade Port has been supporting the Kindergarten No. 66 in the Astafiev community for several years. Over this period, the kindergarten was able to replace all windows, plant more than 200 new trees, install new sandboxes and modern air purifiers.
Another important social project sponsored by Nakhodka Marine Trade Port involved the installation of more than two hundred new plastic windows in the common areas of fourteen apartment buildings in the Astafiev community. Installation of plastic windows instead of conventional ones will help use the heat from district heating radiators more efficiently in winter and improve the thermal regulation of apartment buildings.
In early 2019, Nakhodka MTP joined Nakhodka Foundation. The decision to establish this foundation was made during the meeting of port operators with the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako. Nakhodka Foundation funds and develops social projects in Nakhodka core and its Cape Astafiev community.
Project selection is based on applications received from Nakhodka residents. The Board of Trustees identifies priority projects, approves budgets and schedules, and selects reliable contractors.
This approach gives maximum confidence in the use of money to address the most important municipal issues, and ensures high efficiency and quality of project delivery.
In 2019-2021, Nakhodka MPT spent at least 200 million rubles on the social projects.
